Wake Board Tower Warning for All Family Tubers

Article by Lane Bowers

Any family enjoying water skiing together has discovered that it just might be the perfect family activity. Adding an aftermarket universal wake board tower to any family boat will transform it into a water skiing machine. The upward pull from the tower makes everything easier behind the boat and the built in crossbar board rack helps store skis and boards when they are not being used.

Towable tubes are definitely a major source of fun and entertainment for families and it is only normal that if you are water skiing and wakeboarding on a tower that you would go tubing on the tower. This has obvious advantages. With the rope on top of the tower, tubers don’t get splashed in the face by a sagging rope and passengers do not have to worry about the rope hitting them in the head.

This is why everyone who loves tubing and has a wake board tower uses them together. Regardless of their obvious use, most tower manufacturers have stickers that warn not to use them with towable tubes. Despite the efforts, there is now one major boat company who has issued a worldwide recall on all wake board towers because the rear legs are cracking and failing.

A tower that can not handle family tubing is definitely not a wise investment. One manufacturer now has a written guarantee that they have the strongest aftermarket tower, that it can handle towable tubes, that it will fit your boat, or your money back.

How can someone offer these guarantees? By using stainless steel instead of aluminum they have incorporated the strongest material. The reinforcement that comes from the built in board rack adds additional side-to-side support. Now you can organize all your water skis and boards without having to purchase an additional board rack. Stainless steel polishes like new and will never crack or chip. Finally, this stainless steel tower has a lifetime guarantee on all stainless steel parts.

Now you can invest in a wake board tower that will never have to be replaced. When your wake board tower is not a concern, you can get back to your family fun on the water.

Parasailing at La Manga

Parasailing
by jacklail

Article by Michael Lee

If you are going to La Manga for a holiday then you will not be disappointed with what you will find on offer for you. One of the most popular activities is parasailing, of which you will not find a better adrenaline rush anywhere else.

Parasailing at La Manga is a popular recreational activity that many holiday makers enjoy participating in when they come on Holiday. La Manga Club is in the south of Spain in a region called Murcia. Right next to the Mediterranean Ocean and in close proximity to the Del Mar Menor, you are sure to find Parasailing at La Manga Club in the height of summer.

Parasailing will have you attached to a parasail and dragged into the air by a speeding boat. You are attached to this specially adapted style parachute via a harness. The harness is then attached to a toe rope of which is then attached to a wench on the motor boat. The wench allows the operator to control the height of the parasail. The wench will also bring you back down at the end too. As the boat increases it speed the higher you will go, so if you are scared of heights or get nervous quickly then this is not something you should get involved with while on Holiday at La Manga Club.

There are different types of parasails with the larger ones being able to hold two to three people. These parasails also need a more powerful boat as the weight of three people and the size of a larger parasail can not be pulled like a regular solo parasail. The boat is required to be more powerful to get the extra weight into the air and hit speeds quick enough to keep you up there.

The cost of Parasailing at La Manga can vary depending on the season you come in and the type of parasailing experience you want. If three of you wish to have the larger parasail option then the cost will reflect the additional larger parasail and notable more powerful motor boat. You need to visit different parasailing establishments not only to find the best price you can, but also to make sure the equipment is in good working order and regularly serviced. Along the coast you should be able to come across many different centres that specialise in parasailing so keep your eye out for them.

Always ask if the equipment was serviced and when it was. Also check the equipment yourself and if anything looks a little odd or not right then tell them straight away.

Before you even get strapped in to the parasails harness you should be given a short introduction to the sport and taught some basics. This might include anything from what to do in an emergency to communication hand signals. You must be confident with everything being told to you before you continue. Any fears or queries need to be addressed on the ground before you get strapped in and set into the air.

Parasailing in Spain is usually done in the ocean so look for parasailing centres on the coast. You might want to check out the Del Mar Menor to see if they offer any parasailing as both the Mediterranean Sea and the Del Mar Menor are within close proximity of La Manga Club. During the height of summer the view you will have from the air will be comparable to none other, as you will be able to see for miles!

The weather plays a bit part in parasailing, as if the weather is bad including high winds, rain clouds or choppy water then you will not be allowed to parasail. This is why you should plan your water sport holiday in Spain for Parasailing at La Manga for the summer.

Maui Country Club Announces a Surge in Interest in Their Website Due To Newly Launched PR Effort

Paia Maui, HI (PRWEB) September 27, 2011

Maui Country Club is proud to announce an incredible shift in interest towards their website and Club since they launched an effective PR effort early in 2011.

The Clubs website, which was originally launched in February of 2010, has seen the number of visitors per month jump:

Up 77% from launch
Up 23% from the beginning of 2011
Up 16% from July to August

These results are due to an energetic new PR campaign that has shown a spotlight on this highly exclusive and once, virtually unknown club. The aim of this PR effort was to demonstrate the excellence of the Club, located on the North Shore with private beach access, for fully endorsing a Maui laid back atmosphere.

This is not your ordinary country club, says Luana Pa`ahana, the Membership & Marketing Coordinator for Maui Country Club. We have a uniquely diverse membership, from music and movie icons, pro wind & kite surfers and stand-up paddlers, to business people and local families whose membership dates back to the early plantation days when the club was founded.

The Maui club boasts a variety of features that differentiates it from other country clubs. The various sports and events offered, as well as the amazing dining aspects, combined with the North Shore location on gorgeous Baby Beach makes for a largely appealing experience. Baby Beach is perfect for the surf community, a member not generally attracted to nor embraced by traditional clubs, but welcomed with open arms by Maui Country Club.

Maui Country Club hosts a diverse range of amenities that appeal to everyone, from golfers and tennis players to those that are purely there for the socializing, to kite surfers. In fact, recently the club was mentioned in Maui Time Magazine for a kite surfing camp hosted by Bill Tai, co-founder of the Maui MaiTai Kite Camp.

Club Members are quick to point out the differences that make it so special. My friends and family cant believe I joined a country club – but Ive never experienced a club like Maui Country Club, theres nothing like it, said one member.

This unique country club experience is topped off by a code of conduct that makes for a relaxing, friendly experience. Part of the Maui laid back theme includes a relaxed dress code that allows for shorts and flip flops a huge change from standard country club dress. Combined with an atmosphere of exclusivity, excitement, and peaceful coexistence, where members can kick back and be themselves, membership with Maui Country Club leads to a rewarding, fulfilling experience.

What is surprising to these new visitors on the Clubs website is how affordable it is. A refundable family membership has a one-time entrance fee of $ 5,000 with a full unlimited membership cost of just $ 250 per month; making it within reach of most, says Pa`ahana.

About Maui Country Club

Maui Country Club is located in Hawaii and is an icon on the North Shore of Maui at Spreckelsville. The 66-acre non-profit private club was founded in 1925 by H.W. Rice and F. F. Baldwin, together with the 46 member Maui Golf Association. The Club offers members a golf course and Pro Shop, six tennis courts, fitness center, private beach access, a swimming pool and pavilion. The new clubhouse has mens & womens locker rooms, a bar, lounge and restaurant, a ballroom for private functions, as well as a snack bar and outdoor lanai for dining. A variety of fitness classes, lessons, and social events geared toward members of all ages complete the package that makes this the place where friends and family come to play.
